Paid Social Media Manager

The Paid Social Media Manager works with clients and internal teams to develop and implement paid social media recommendations focused on mutual success for clients and GR. Your experience should be focused on strategic social media planning, creative development and media optimizations with an agency background. You stay abreast of the ever-changing social landscape, help GR win new business, and expand GR’s social offerings. You will help educate internal teams and clients, and provide thought leadership and team leadership.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Primary: responsible for investment across social and GR’s full approach to social media.
      • Planning, creative strategy, in-platform buying, monitoring, optimizing, and measuring social campaigns across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Snapchat, Reddit and evolving social platforms in partnership with media team and under the supervision of the Media Director.
      • Be able to clearly articulate the benefits of each social platform and create plans that utilize all platforms together with a comprehensive strategy
      • Work with our platform managers such (search and programmatic) to develop integrated digital campaigns that play off the success of each other’s platforms and improve ROI.
      • Advanced knowledge of pixel placement, custom audience creation, Facebook’s e-commerce functionalities, and funnel design.
      • Help integrate with Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, and third-party platforms.
      • Create and advise on the creation of social-first creative.

        • Experience with copy-writing and asset development preferred
        • Advise on how to tailor creative to each platform to make it feel native.
      • Optimize and troubleshoot advertising campaigns while they are live.

        • Monitor funnels and execute campaigns with in-depth communications strategies
        • Suggest targeting, bidding, and creative optimizations to lower campaign cost per result.
      • Analyze data from social platforms and Google to report back on campaigns.
        • Work with marketing sciences to compile and articulate results as well as make suggestions for improvements.
      • Strong verbal skills and development of well-written documents and presentations.
      • Knowledge of full FB suite, GA and Tag Manager, AdWords, and Excel a plus.
  • Secondary: be a thought-leader, develop new social offerings, assist with new business pitches, educate the agency on best practices, and stay abreast of industry trends.
    • Lead and build social media client relationships, provide consultation, direction and recommendations.
    • Onboard new business
      • Familiarity with adding new accounts to FB business manager.
    • Develop GR templates for campaign planning, optimization techniques, and reporting.
    • Execute tests of new tools and strategies to always be improving.
      • Demo new tools and make business cases for adding said tools to GR’s toolkit.
