We’re looking for a talented video editor to join our Content Studio. This role will assemble recorded footage into finished projects that match the creative vision and is suitable for broadcast and all other channels. You’ll collaborate with the videographer, creative director and creative team to create compelling visual content for internal and external audiences. Ultimately, as a video editor, you’ll bring sight and sound together to tell cohesive stories.
Responsibilities include:
- Understanding the creative and production team’s needs and specifications
- Manipulating and editing video pieces seamlessly
- Trimming footage segments and putting together the sequence of the story
- Inputting music, dialogue, graphics and effects
- Creating rough and final cuts
- Ensuring logical sequencing and smooth running
- Collaborating with the creative and other internal team members from production through post-production
- Discovering and implementing new editing technologies and best practices
Requirements include:
- Proven work experience as a video editor
- Experience with digital technology and editing software packages, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Audition
- A strong portfolio demonstrating video editing ability
- Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation and continuity
- Familiarity with special effects, 3D and compositing
- Creative mind and storytelling skills
- Motion graphics capabilities and experience a plus, as is familiarity with digital camera systems, lighting set-ups, and field audio recording
