We all know the story of Smith Tower: Seattle’s first skyscraper, and once the tallest building west of the Mississippi. But what’s really got going on inside the iconic Pioneer Square landmark?
After purchasing the building, Unico Properties wanted to revamp Smith Tower and showcase the building’s history with tourists, building tenants and local residents in mind. After more than a year of renovation, Smith Tower reopened to the public with a whole new visitor experience including self-guided tours with interactive elements, a Prohibition-inspired general store featuring gift items and groceries, and a new 35th floor bar overlooking the city. The GreenRubino team helped spread the word that Seattle’s most iconic building was back. And people got excited!

Leading up to the opening we hosted media and VIP preview events, and more than 200 people attended. Oh, and did we mention that August 25th is now officially Smith Tower Day!
Head on over to Pioneer Square and explore Smith Tower’s history like never before. Or just take a ride up those 100-year-old elevators and enjoy some cocktails in the speakeasy. Either way, Smith Tower is here to stay. Don’t just take our word for it – check it out for yourself!
