MLB Play Ball Park
We love baseball. So, when MLB turned to GR, naturally, we swung for the fences.
Public Relations
It was late in the game when we got the call from Major League Baseball. The 2023 All-Star Game was on-deck, and they needed our help in promoting Play Ball Park, the 4-day interactive fan festival celebrating all things baseball, held in the days leading up to the All-Star game. Fortunately, our veteran PR team was warmed up and ready to go.
We pitched planning meetings with local TV and radio stations, secured pre-event interviews with MLB spokespeople, orchestrated a preview hard hat tour, developed briefs, press releases, and a whole lot more. We created the buzz we needed to promote everything Play Ball Park had to offer.
The result? Let’s just say we put up MVP-worthy numbers: 209 broadcast segments, 250 press badges issued, and 5.62 billion impressions to an audience of 10.6 million. The turnout all 4 days was great, and everyone had a ball. You might say it was the PR equivalent of a walk-off home run. (Can’t get enough baseball clichés? Watch the video.)
