Established in 1981, GSBA is Washington State’s LGBTQ+ and allied chamber of commerce. The largest of its kind in North America, it represents over 1,300 small business, corporate, and nonprofit members who share the values of promoting equality and diversity in the workplace.

GSBA serves as a connector across the region, bringing community together through business, advocating for civil rights and small business, promoting LGBTQ+ tourism, and investing in the next generation of leaders through the GSBA Scholarship Fund. Needless to say, they’re involved in a lot and their contributions are many. The GSBA website, however, no longer fully reflected their mission and the vibrant and evolving LGBTQ+ business community. On the backend, legacy code and outdated software led to performance setbacks and hindered daily operations for stakeholders.

Our mission was clear: build a modern, user-focused website that functions as a robust member hub, upholds operational requisites, and rests on a stable, and scalable foundation.

Meticulous audits and research yielded insights and requirements that informed our technical, design, and content strategies. The collaborative effort between GSBA and our web team resulted in a new digital hub encapsulating GSBA’s mission, with features and functionality to support community engagement, advocacy, and networking. The new CMS simplifies content authoring, empowering stakeholders to continuously publish content in their efforts to create stronger LGBTQ+ business communities and foster positive change in the Greater Seattle area.
